How to care for fine porcelain

You have chosen Reminiscence Home items in fine porcelain renowned for its whiteness, charm and delicacy. We thank you.

Maintenance of fine porcelain

Porcelain is the strongest of ceramics. It is a hard and waterproof material, practical and easy to use on a daily basis. It is a high-temperature terracotta that withstands the dishwasher very well with a non-abrasive detergent, the traditional oven (max 300°C) and the microwave.

In hand washing, use a soft sponge and a classic dishwashing liquid. Do not use the abrasive side of the sponge, which could scratch the decorations. For rinsing, use normally warm water. Then dry the porcelain with a soft cloth or in the open air.

Precious metal decorations (gold, silver, platinum), like all shiny decorations, are not suitable for the microwave because they act as mirrors and will damage your device. We do not put the wrapping paper of a wafer of butter in the microwave for the same reasons. It makes sparks!

The rest is common sense! They should not be knocked together but rather handled with normal precaution, the one you will have with your stemmed glasses, especially when you load the dishwasher.

With these little cares, you will be able to enjoy your porcelain for decades and perpetuate your history by transmitting it in turn.
